type of updated content such as from rss reeds or blog

1. To provide the reader of a site with fresh, up to
date information.

In lamens terms an RSS feed is simply a piece of code
that refers to the contents of a certain kind of web
site. For example, every blog has an RSS feed which
is a kind of log of the contents of that blog. An RSS
feed usually come in the form of a web address that
if you enter it into your browser you will see the contents
of the blog or website in question.
